Guinea president reacts to vote rigging claims

Guinea's president after the interview in  Conakry on 8th October, 2013.
Yesterday, October 8, Guinea’s president Alpha Conde dismissed accusations of election rigging lodged by the opposition party with regards to the polls held on September 28. Responding to threats of mass actions by the opposition, Alpha Conde emphasized that those with a thought of destabilizing the Republic of Guinea are making a huge mistake since Guinea will never be destabilized.
The president notes "Every party has its view, but it is their responsibility to send their views to the Supreme Court, which is the only jurisdiction with the authority to decide."
From the provisional results released 10 days after the vote, Conde’s RPG party is in the lead.

Conde, who led the political opposition during the reign of the late dictator Lansana Conte, became Guinea’s first president to be elected in a democratic way in 2010.
